We hope this book will help you to improve your punctuation and grammar so that you can write more freely, effectively and confidently. The chapters are arranged in such a way as to allow you to work through each section systematically or, if you prefer, you can dip into the chapters in any order according to your needs. For ease of access, the book is divided into two sections: Section 1 deals with Punctuation and Section 2 with Grammar. However both sections are interrelated, as punctuation and grammar go hand in hand. For example, in Section 1 we introduce the idea of writing in sentences, consider what makes up a sentence and how to punctuate sentences. As every sentence we write is made up of grammatical elements, then punctuation, to some extent, depends upon knowing about grammatical structures.
